Imbiba fire up barbecue concept

The Imbiba Partnership is planning the launch of a new 'barbecue, steak & wine' bar and restaurant in the UK.

Imbiba's concept will offer “unrivalled modern barbecue cooking and new world wines at exceptional value”. It is being developed under the ‘Project Celsius’ banner, with the leadership of chef and barbecue expert Neil Rankin (pictured).

Neil is a pioneer in barbecue cooking in the United Kingdom and it is his unique and innovative style that has not only won him critical acclaim, but has made him one of the most sought after celebrity chefs. By virtue of Neil’s talent, experience, and reputation, Project Celsius has already created strong market interest.

The first restaurant will open this year in central London, with a 50 to 75-cover restaurant and 30 to 45-cover wine tasting room. Dishes will be innovative but simple, with meat sourced from British small family farms and butchers where possible. the 'Project Celsius’ proposition is not based upon a ‘food fad’ or a style of cooking currently in fashion. The proposition is based on concepts with an already proven track record of success, long-term development and profitability in London and internationally, illustrated by the growth of Hawksmoor and Goodmans.”

Imbiba outlined their executive summary at the annual Imbiba Investor Conference in London (2nd February) and hope to open seven sites in the next five years. For more investor information please contact Imbiba's Brokers for an information pack.
