Wright & Bell acquires Whyte & Brown site

Wright & Bell confirm the purchase this month of Kingly Court bar restaurant, Whyte & Brown.

The Company already runs the Kitty Hawk and The Backroom Bar at South Place, Moorgate and continue to grow their presence across the London market. ‘We are delighted to acquire Whyte & Brown, in such a strong location,’ confirmed Sarah Clark, Managing Director of Wright & Bell. ‘We look forward to evolving the offer and have a progressive vision of how this can sit within our portfolio and the current market place. Kingly Court is an extremely popular and vibrant destination in central London and presents us with an excellent growth opportunity.’

The 132-cover, two-storey restaurant was originally launched in 2013 and has traded strongly in Kingly Court. With a clear focus on food and new menus plans, the team will evolve the Kingly Court site, whilst pursuing further new sites in Central London.

Imbiba partnered with ThinCats on the venture. ‘Thin Cats were an obvious partner for us,’ commented Imbiba CFO Simon Wheeler. ‘They are one of the leading alternative finance providers for growing and ambitious SME’s and they really understand the sector.’ ThinCats Director, Dave Sherrington confirmed the funding stating, ‘We were impressed by Imbiba and look forward to working with them on this project. They have unparalleled sector experience, a strong track record in the market and an investment team that genuinely understands leisure businesses.’
