Imbiba win Best Designed Pub 2014 for No.11 Pimlico Road
We are delighted to announce that Darwin & Wallace Ltd, one of the investee companies of the current Imbiba EIS Fund 3, has taken home the prestigious Best Designed Pub of 2014 at the Casual Dining Awards for the brand's first site at No.11 Pimlico Road.
No.11 Pimlico Road is a modern, all-day venue for relaxed eating and drinking, which prides itself on feeling "more home than high street”. It opened in March 2013 and offers a seasonal, fresh-food and drink offering just a few minutes’ walk from Sloane Square.
The bar/restaurant was honoured with this award thanks to the faultless interior design scheme. Mel Marriott, Director of Darwin & Wallace commissioned the renovation of the site, the research and design work to create No.11 Pimlico Road - the work was forensic.
This latest accolade further highlights the Imbiba team’s aptitude in sourcing, renovating and establishing the highest quality bar and restaurant venues. The Imbiba partnership is led by a team with an outstanding 15 year track record and reputation, whose most recent exit of Drake & Morgan, a City-based five unit bar and restaurant chain, achieved a return to investors of over 5 times net cash invested, equivalent to an IRR of 50%. This was the 9th successful exit for EIS investors in 15 years from the Imbiba team and it has propelled Imbiba's average IRR to an exceptionally high 35%, before the benefit of EIS Tax Relief.
